We all have those moments when God throws us a curveball. We expect life to go one way, only to find ourselves facing something completely different. In those moments, we are often left scratching our heads and asking, "Lord, what are You doing?" That is exactly where we find ourselves today in 2 Kings 5. Here we meet Naaman, the mighty commander of the Syrian army. Though feared by his enemies and respected by his king, Naaman has a problem that no amount of power, wealth, or military success can solve: he has leprosy. When he hears of a prophet in Israel who can heal him, he sets out with certain expectations about how things should unfold. But when God's answer comes, it is nothing like what Naaman had imagined. Faced with an unexpected command, Naaman must decide whether he will trust his own understanding or simply obey. As we walk through this remarkable account, we will discover that God's ways are often different from our own.
