episode Mark 4–5 Explained | Storms, Deliverance, Healing & Trusting Jesus | Bible Study cover

Beskrivelse

In this week’s home group teaching, we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark as Jesus reveals His authority over chaos, darkness, sickness, shame, and even death itself. As the disciples face a storm, a tormented man is restored, a hidden woman is called daughter, and a grieving father watches Jesus speak life where everyone else sees only loss, Mark keeps bringing us back to one honest question: Who is this man… and can He really be trusted? This teaching explores: • Jesus calming the storm • Faith in seasons of fear and uncertainty • Jesus’ authority over darkness and spiritual oppression • Why people sometimes resist transformation • The healing of the bleeding woman • Identity, belonging, and being called daughter • Jairus, delayed answers, and trusting Jesus when it feels too late Perfect for home group discussion, personal discipleship, Bible study, quiet reflection, or anyone wanting to go deeper into the life and ministry of Jesus. episode Mark 7-8 Explained | When Those Closest to Jesus Miss Him | Bible Study cover

Mark 7-8 Explained | When Those Closest to Jesus Miss Him | Bible Study

This week we continue our journey through Mark’s Gospel and encounter a fascinating question running through chapters 7 and 8: why do the people who should know better keep missing what others can see? The Pharisees know the Scriptures but struggle to recognise Jesus. The disciples have witnessed miracle after miracle and still don’t fully understand Him. Yet a Gentile woman from outside Israel sees something that many of the religious leaders miss entirely. Along the way we explore the tradition of the elders, Jesus’ challenge to external religion, the remarkable faith of the Syrophoenician woman, the healing of the deaf man, the feeding of the four thousand, and Jesus’ warning about the yeast of the Pharisees and Herod. At the centre of it all is one simple word: Ephphatha — “Be opened.” Perhaps the greatest challenge in these chapters is not whether we know enough about Jesus, but whether we’re still open to what He wants to show us.
