GUEST SPEAKER: PASTOR VANESSA MEHRER Pastor Vanessa Mehrer has served as Co-Lead Pastor of Assiniboia Apostolic Church (part of the ACOP Network [https://acop.ca/] of ministers and Churches) for the past seven years, where she leads with a deep commitment to spiritual formation, discipleship, and developing healthy, thriving leaders. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Leadership and Church Ministry, further equipping herself to strengthen the local church and invest in the next generation of leaders. Pastor Vanessa serves on the ACOP Prairie Regional Team and the ACOP Faith, Life & Theology Team, and is actively involved in the EPIC 2.0 Leadership Initiative, helping train and equip pastors and leaders from across Canada. In addition, she also serves as an RCMP chaplain, offering spiritual care and support beyond the walls of the church.  She is passionate about helping people cultivate a life with God that is both deeply rooted and outwardly lived, with a particular focus on the inner life of the leader and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in shaping character and calling. Pastor Vanessa brings theological depth with practical clarity, inviting people into a deeper awareness of God’s presence in everyday life, and works across churches and ministries to foster unity, clarity, and Spirit-led leadership. She is a devoted wife and mother of three, and finds great joy in doing life with her family. When she’s not leading, studying, or speaking, you’ll likely find her with a good cup of coffee in hand, enjoying the everyday moments of life.

We don’t have to look far to see people searching for meaning and purpose. Whether it's through careers, family, hobbies, passions, relationships, or faith, we all long to live in a way that feels fully alive. Think about it: most advertising is built on the promise of “real life.” From shampoo commercials to grocery store flyers, we’re constantly being sold the idea that the right product, the perfect car, or the next big thing will finally give us that thrill of truly living. But Jesus offers us something far greater. He came to give us life, and life to the full. A life that isn't dependent on possessions or circumstances, but on a relationship with Him. Real life comes not from anything material, but from Jesus, the One who is life, has life, and who rose back to life for us. The Christian life can never be separated from Jesus. It begins and continues through trust and dependence on Him.
