Like Peter, many believers love Jesus sincerely but try to live the Christian life in their own strength, which leads to failure under pressure. The transformation comes when we surrender our plans and depend on the Holy Spirit's daily empowerment. Living in God's shadow means letting criticism pass through to Jesus and redirecting praise to Him, recognizing all good things as gifts from God.
