Next time you are late to meet someone or late to a meeting, instead of "Sorry I'm late" say "thank you for waiting" instead. "Sorry" puts people in a defensive state and zaps the energy, while "thank you" puts people at ease with gratitude and brings a sense of positive energy. Another tip is to contact the person you are meeting the second you know you will be late. Update him or her on the new ETA and say "I acknowledge I'm late and I'm committed to being on time." This shows responsibility and action being taken on your part. Lastly, did you know optimistic people tend to run late? Studies show optimistic people think they can cram more into their schedule than actually fits, making them perpetually late! If that's you, just remember to say "thank you" instead of "I'm sorry" next time!

I keep thinking about how many of us choose words of intention each year, and people out there who are powerful manifestors must have chosen words like, “simplify, slow down, and family time.” If you look at the positive side of our lives this year, we have had the opportunity to simplify and slow down from our hectic lives. I know my August calendar is wide open when last year it would have been filled with events and activities. More people are spending time with family than ever before, even working from home and seeing their kids way more than in previous years. I’m curious if you selected a word for 2020, have you seen it come true? My word was laughter and I’m definitely trying to laugh more and take all that is happening in the world in stride with joy still in my heart. If you didn’t manifest a word, it’s not too late! Pick a word for the second half of 2020. Also, it can be two words like “slow down” and think about what you are selecting. The word “Abundance” to the universe could be taken as an abundance of people getting sick with COVID. An abundance of wealth, an abundance of health might be better options. I’ll be back with a roundup of positive news stories soon but just wanted to jump on here quickly because this has been on my mind for a while now. Let me know what you think - reach out to me Deanne Goodman on instagram or facebook and let me know what your word was or what your new word is! Wishing you all health, safety and lots of laughter in you lives. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/s/55f27d8/podcast/sponsor/acugkf/url/https%3A%2F%2Fanchor.fm%2Fapp
