From examples like COVID-19, I will talk about what happened in past years and how false information caused so much damage to people. Understanding the difference between disinformation and misinformation will be vital, in understanding how false information spreads, so we will talk about that as well.

New media allowed an environment in which information spread faster than ever before. Let it be false or true, information has the potential to become dangerous. Just as we saw from the infodemic during the COVID-19, disinformation and misinformation are the most dangerous types of information. When used against marginalized groups, disinformation and misinformation, can bring immense harm. In this podcast we will focus on marginalized groups and how disinformation and misinformation affects them.
