The fragile U.S.-Iran agreement is facing fresh pressure after Iran warned that ships entering the Strait of Hormuz without Tehran’s permission “will be dealt with”, despite the deal supposedly guaranteeing freedom of navigation. Speaking in Bahrain, Secretary of State Marco Rubio reassured Gulf allies that Washington will not accept any agreement that allows Iran to control one of the world’s most important shipping lanes. Meanwhile, questions remain over the future of Israel’s operations in southern Lebanon after an Israeli reserve soldier was killed in an operational accident. Israel has not confirmed reports that it has withdrawn from part of the security zone. Shin Bet security officials warn that Iran is increasingly shifting its focus to the West Bank by rebuilding terror networks through Turkey, cryptocurrency funding and weapons smuggling. Today’s guest is Andrew Fox, Senior fellow at the Henry Jackson Society. He breaks down a UN panel report which accuses Israel of deliberately targeting children in Gaza.
