Kindness wins every time

When it comes to being unkind, we often are the hardest on ourselves. Aden and I talked about the absolute need to be kind to ourselves first so that we can brighten someone else's day. It's so easy to forget that each day is new – let the baggage of yesterday and the worry of tomorrow go. And most importantly, be kind, no matter what.

When in doubt, go back to the basics

Aden and I talk about the first week back to school, football tryouts and most importantly, the need to return to the basics to find our way again.

Your goal doesn’t have to involve being number one in something, but the message here is broader than that – you’ve gotta take the risk at some point and make a move.  My son and I had this conversation recently – the idea that “number one” has different meanings given the context. But they all intertwine when you step back and take a broader look.  You won’t ever get to where you wanna go without taking the first step.  In order to level up, you gotta start at level one.  You can’t be a light for anyone else unless you’re a light for yourself first.  Progression comes in all shapes and sizes, yet it is so powerful in keeping us going.  You don’t know until you try. Take a chance; start at one – everyone does. 👊🏼👏🏼 Be free. It’s a mindset.
