Beskrivelse

This one is about the guy who made everything feel cinematic until the credits rolled… and I realised I wasn’t even in the cast. Love-bombing, vanishing, blaming, the whole emotional circus. If you’ve ever asked yourself “Is it me?” …this episode might feel uncomfortably familiar. Sounds familiar? episode My Favorite Meds cover

My Favorite Meds

It Can Happen — You Get Sick My body has a very simple way of communicating. It gets sick. Apparently, getting sick is supposed to mean rest. In my case, it usually means guilt, overthinking, and replying to emails with a fever — just to prove I’m still a functioning adult. This episode is about being “sick too often” and who exactly gets to decide what “often” is. About growing up with the idea that illness equals weakness. About migraines, anxiety, chronic stress, and the quiet art of working through pain while pretending everything is fine. It’s also about something less respectable: that sometimes I liked being sick. Because it was the only socially acceptable way to stop. To lie down. To do absolutely nothing — without apologizing. We talk mental health, medication, anxiety, and making peace with the fact that my favourite coping mechanism comes in a blister pack (with a small, loving wink to My Favorite Murder). No advice. No wellness journey. No “have you tried yoga?” Just a story about a body that kept saying “enough” until I finally stopped arguing. If your immune system feels smarter than your calendar — you might feel very at home here. It can happen. Sounds familiar? Contact me: IG: It.Can.Happen.Podcast
