Does God hate sacrifices?

We hear it so often quoted that He desires mercy and not sacrifices in order to prove that He never wanted sacrifices in the first place. And while having always agreed with that statement, I have also had questions that I never had an answer for until today! Sacrifices: What's the point?

Hello friend! Today we begin a series of discussions that will address the elephant in the room: offerings and sacrifices. This is the most common question one will be asked once you begin your journey following Torah, and it's a valid one. "What about the sacrifices?"
