Listing reasons why people, especially those in the ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY in Los Angeles should go see plays.  Molly McLean is a comedy writer and performer from Portland who lives in Los Angeles. She writes and stages new characters every month at Upright Citizens Brigade as part of their Betty team. She performs semi-monthly with her improv group Beautiful Gowns at the Pack Theater (A Staged* Reading of a New Play) and at the Clubhouse. She also has a weekly standup open mic at the Zebra Room. With the theater group Being Time, she has adapted a Mr. Beast video, Strindberg’s The Father, and hosted many parodies of acting classes. She made a short film, Clown Hoedown, about the evils of the Los Angeles clown scene. She directed Emily Maverick’s solo show Slürt for the Elysian Theater’s Spaghetti Festival in 2024.
