Randall Wallace is a screenwriter, director, producer, and songwriter who came to prominence by writing the screenplay for the historical film Braveheart, starring Mel Gibson. Braveheart was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won 5, making it one of the most Oscar nominated films of all time. Shortly after, he wrote the screenplay for the Jerry Bruckheimer blockbuster, Pearl Harbor, directed by Michael Bay. Randall has since directed films such as The Man in the Iron Mask, We Were Soldiers, Secretariat and Heaven Is for Real. His films have earned over $1 billion dollars at the box office. Wallace graduated from Duke University and put himself through a year of divinity school by teaching karate.
