Murphy Phelan is a PNW illustrator and fellow long time Modest Mouse fan who has collaborated with Isaac Brock on projects such as his bar "Poison's Rainbow:, Modest Mouse's fan page "Ice Cream Party", and most recently, the album cover to the 8th Modest Mouse LP, An Eraser and A Maze. We discussed some interesting details about his Modest Mouse related artwork, including the conception of recent tour posters and the album art, and got to talk about some of our musical interests as well.
