General

Madrigalejo es un municipio español, en la provincia de Cáceres, comunidad autónoma de Extremadura. Se sitúa al sur de la provincia, siendo el único municipio cacereño que pertenece a la comarca pacense de las Vegas Altas, si bien históricamente ha pertenecido a la Tierra de Trujillo siendo sus tierras propiedad del Real Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe hasta la desamortización de Mendizábal. El pueblo es famoso por ser el lugar de fallecimiento del rey Fernando II de Aragón, más conocido como Fernando el Católico.

It is a building that sits on the grounds of what was once the house of Santa María, and is known for being the house where King Fernando II de Aragón.

7. House of Santa Maria. Ethnographic Museum - English

Declared a National Historical Monument in 1980, we find in Madrigalejo part of the so-called Casa de Santa María. In its time it was the typical farmhouse, proper and accommodated to the transit of the numerous and extensive arable lands that the Guadeloupean monks owned in Madrigalejo.
