She works on our regional underwriting strategy, product offering and regional footprint. For episode 4, we meet Chris Burgess, Director of Cyber. Chris joined Markel in 2019, starting out as London Cyber Manager before being promoted in November 2022. Chris, who joined the London Market back in 2004, also reflects on the importance of having a great team and the success they have enjoyed at Markel to date.

Chris first joined Markel in 2017 and has held various claims leadership positions since, culminating in being promoted to his current role in early 2024. Chris manages a team of 75+ claims professionals around the world and leads on all things wholesale claims from a strategic standpoint.
