In our final episode of Re-imagining Care, we speak to poet and educator Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan, coaches Mercedes and Yvonne and participants from Muslim Girls Fence. We imagine and share our hopes for the future, what we’d like to see policy makers and decision makers do to make changes, the difficulties in imagining futures in the face of violence, but the importance of recognising how we’re already living and imagining different ways of being in the spaces we create away from white supremacy, racism and patriarchy. “A Merciless Light - Covid 19 in Newham” is a 30 minute audio documentary that shares stories from Newham residents of how Covid 19 was, and is being, experienced by communities in Newham. We wanted the documentary to uplift voices and stories that are otherwise not being heard and to create an archive of evidence and research that speaks back to 'official' reports and reviews.
