Meg It Make Sense
This week on Meg It Make Sense we’re unpacking the Met Gala because… why does it all feel slightly dystopian? From celebrity culture to social media to the pressure of constantly being perceived, I talk about why it feels like everyone is performing all the time and why so many of us are becoming obsessed with how we look to other people online. We get into internet culture, perfection, overconsumption, and the strange disconnect between glamorous celebrity events and real life. Basically… why does everything feel a little Black Mirror lately? I also shout out Alea O’Shea’s non-profit organisation BecauseICeare, which helps raise money for wigs and hair treatments for women going through cancer treatment 🤍 If you enjoy the podcast make sure to follow, leave a review, and share the episode with someone who overthinks every social interaction.
