I'm discussing the ways that American music came to be shaped by cultural influences and migration.  I will also give a brief biography of five early American composers who had a significant influence on the creation of different styles of American music.  They are  Stephen Foster, John Phillip Souza, Scott Joplin, George Gershwin, and W.C.
