i think we are starting to understand the full scope of empathy. it includes feeling everyone—and i mean everyone’s—pain on a deep level. And subsequently becoming numb. And then, re-opening those wounds. And then, healing them again, and numbing the scar tissue. It’s an everlasting cycle of trauma.
