episode What Is The Gospel? artwork
What Is The Gospel?

If you had to pick one verse to sum up the Gospel, which one would you pick? For the sake of argument, let's say you only had time to pick one verse to witness to an unbeliever with. Which would you pick? In this episode, I want to explain why, for me, that verse is Romans 6:23. In this episode, I also want to take a moment and discuss what the Gospel is. In short, the Gospel is simply the fact that, although we have sinned and deserve death as a result, God has graciously sent his Son to die for our sins so that we can inherit eternal life. This is basic, but it is important that we understand this. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app [https://anchor.fm/app]--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nazarene-caffeine/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/nazarene-caffeine/support [https://anchor.fm/nazarene-caffeine/support]

The Earliest Description of Jesus' Resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3-8)

In this episode, I present some of my earlier exegetical work on the Pre-Pauline creed of 1 Corinthians 15:3-8. I explain why the concept that Jesis did not rise bodily fails to be a plausible explanation, as well as why the so-called "hallucination hypothesis" put forward by individuals like Gerd Ludemann fail as explanations for the resurrection appearances. The Problem With American Christianity

In this episode, I rant about the problem of mixing Christianity with Americanism, particularly with American politics and American individualism. Resources Consulted or Cited in this Episode: 1. episode Why Apologetics Is Wesleyan artwork
Why Apologetics Is Wesleyan

In this episode, I respond to some Wesleyan individuals who have, in my opinion, naively claimed that apologetics has no place in Wesleyanism. I have a baker's dozen questions to ask individuals who hold this position. In the meantime, I show how, if you take John Wesley as your example or believe the Wesleyan quadrilateral, you should believe that apologetics is Wesleyan. episode Psalm 1 artwork
Psalm 1

In this episode, I give an overview of Psalm 1 and a brief exegesis of its message. I show how it contrasts the righteous and the wicked, as well as their way of living. I also show how, along with Psalm 2, this Psalm serves as an introduction to the Psalter as a whole and sheds light on its interpretation. Resources Consulted, Cited, or Recommended: 1.
