Who is David Good? David Good had his software development career taken away from him by a car accident and a subsequent illness. To find a new purpose and to give renewed meaning to his life, David founded the non-partisan, not-for-profit International Friend Connection (IFC) in 2014, a community dedicated to helping people overcome social anxiety through online and in-person events. Today, the IFC has forty-seven chapters and thirty-five thousand members in cities all over the world through the Meetup Platform. The answer is quite simple. Because, sometimes it takes all those adversities to equip and train you to be an overcomer...a miracle, in the flesh. Ep 21: Balancing Family Life With Work & Business w/ Ergonomics Expert, Kim Granata-Clark

Who is Kim Granata-Clark? Kim is a Certified Applied Ergonomist (CAE) and received a certification as a Remote Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (REAS) in 2020. She has a Masters Degree in Human Factors and Ergonomics and Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University in California. Kim has conducted Ergonomic evaluations as an Ergonomics specialist for close to 20 years in many Silicon Valley, CA companies and looking forward to serving Tampa, FL. Kim loves to find ways to reduce or prevent discomfort in a client’s work area. Sometimes it is as simple as putting a book under the monitor to raise the monitor height, getting a good chair that fits the client, or obtaining a sit to stand workstation to vary their position during the day. Kim has done many Office and Back Safety Training classes for a variety of Silicon Valley, CA companies. Kim was the meeting coordinator for the Bay Area Ergonomics Roundtable (BAER) in Silicon Valley, CA where she helped bring in speakers and vendors to talk to the attendees about many subject matters and show the latest products. Kim is the Your Posture Tutor and wants to prevent or reduce injury one person at a time by educating people about Ergonomics, evaluating their workstations, recommending equipment that will help clients get set up at their workstation ergonomically, and follow-up to make sure the products recommended are working for the client. On a personal note: Kim has been married for 24 years with a 8-year-old daughter. She is a ballroom dancer and she and her husband ran a Ballroom Dance Ministry at their church in California. Kim used to teach Ballroom Dance classes at a couple community centers in her local area in California. Hopefully, there will be plans that she can do this in Tampa. She loves to ballroom dance, she loves to teach ballroom dance class, and sometimes when she talks about posture at a client's workstation, she equates it to a dancing posture. Dancers do not slouch, and we should not either.
