Beskrivelse

Send us a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2140286/open_sms] Hey, Tangled Minds! Long time no… talk? listen? I’m not sure what, but it sure has been a long time. We are so happy to be back! It’s been a little crazy (crazier than usual) in these tangled minds and we just wanted to say thank you to those who have kept listening and kept telling us to keep recording. It means the world that you all care and check-in. Today, we talk about talking, converse about conversing, and communicate about communicating. It all started with Harry sending Jack an article on ways to have a successful conversation. (You can read the article here: https://www.experimental-history.com/p/good-conversations-have-lots-of-doorknobs [https://www.experimental-history.com/p/good-conversations-have-lots-of-doorknobs]) This got us thinking about our strengths, weaknesses, and abilities while talking, as well as successful conversations in general. So kick back, relax, and listen to us get reeeeaaally meta. Also, this was recorded on Inauguration Day. Words are insufficient in the best of times; in the worst of them, words combust. There’s so much happening right now, and even since we recorded it a week ago. Just know that you all aren’t alone. Email us at ourtangledminds@gmail.com

episode Episode 4: Failure cover

Episode 4: Failure

Send us a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2140286/open_sms] Hey, Tangled Minds!  In light of everything going on in the world, we figured everyone could use a little fun and joy. Today, Harry and I discuss failure. Past, present, and future. Personal, professional, familial. Ranging from funny to catastrophic. We try to end on a fun note, which is crazy because— *ring ring* what? Uh huh…. Uh huh… Oh, you don’t say. Well, I didn’t notice. Oh! Sorry! *hangs up phone* I’ve just been told this is all depressing. Whoops!  Anyway, if you have any thoughts on today’s episode, email us at ourtangledminds@gmail.com or text us! And hey! We meant it when I said you’re not alone right now.  Link to science funding stuff: https://youtu.be/LQjFGx9mEPw [https://youtu.be/LQjFGx9mEPw] Email us at ourtangledminds@gmail.com

Episode 1: But What If We're Wrong?

Send us a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2140286/open_sms] Hello, Tangled Minds, and welcome to Season Two! Harry and I felt like we needed to revamp and get back to a little structure in the podcast and we decided to do that by addressing two controversial topics and challenging our own preconceptions and biases. Doesn’t that sound like a safe relaunch? We hope so! Today, Harry and I talked about the book What If We’re Wrong by Chuck Klosterman and each a topic to discuss how we’d react if we proved we were wrong about our held beliefs. More importantly, we talk about how we benefited from considering other perspectives and “being wrong.” Link to “But What If We’re Wrong?” https://www.amazon.com/dp/0399184139/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_1J1VRY3NR52RB00Y3022?linkCode=ml2&tag=ourtangledmin-20 [https://www.amazon.com/dp/0399184139/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_1J1VRY3NR52RB00Y3022?linkCode=ml2&tag=ourtangledmin-20] Email us at ourtangledminds@gmail.com
