Lately I have been really interested in L Frank Baum, the writer of the Wizard of Oz and his other writings. In a book he wrote, he tells the stories behind the nursery rhymes we all learned when we were little people. The story behind the nursery rhyme, Old King Cole, is no different and just as wonderful as the rest of his stories. By the way, did you know there are 14 different Oz stories? WOW - that’s a lot! I have taken liberties with the story, here and there, to suit my voice and a child’s ear. FAMILIES & TEACHERS: I have materials designed to support developing comprehension skills at home or at school - just hop over to my TPT [https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/store/tiny-farm-big-heart-learning] store and have a look. What does this mean? In intellectual property law, the public domain concerns IP objects that, for certain reasons, are free from exclusive IP rights. These IP rights may have expired, been forfeited, expressly waived, or inapplicable. Essentially, the stories from these categories belong to the world.
