episode #5 - Mike Reoch - Dealing With Burnout, Foundational Knowledge and Neurocentric Massage Therapy cover

Beskrivelse

This conversation with Mike Reoch was an absolute pleasure. It was a breeze chatting with him and we could've gone on for hours. We talked about handling mental burnout in the profession, making sure you have your physiology down and approaching Massage Therapy from a neurocentric lens. There are plenty of gems to take away from this episode and I hope you all learn as much as I did!

#8 - Paul Ingraham - Fibromyalgia, The RMT World & Structuralism

Paul Ingraham is a Vancouver science writer and a former Registered Massage Therapist, a profession he left in 2010 over concerns about its pseudoscientific nonsense. Since then, he has been publishing PainScience.com full-time, a website about the science of pain and injury, known for its rich footnotes and anti-quackery activism. The site offers hundreds of articles and ten books, all based on a huge bibliography, and a membership program for exclusive content access. Paul was an active amateur athlete for decades, especially in ultimate (the Frisbee sport), but has now retired from competitive intensity. He’s been grappling with his own chronic pain problem since 2015.   https://www.painscience.com/subscribe [https://www.painscience.com/subscribe] [free newsletter] https://www.painscience.com/ebooks [https://www.painscience.com/ebooks] https://www.painscience.com/membership [https://www.painscience.com/membership] https://www.facebook.com/painscience [https://www.facebook.com/painscience] https://www.instagram.com/painsci [https://www.instagram.com/painsci] https://x.com/painsci [https://x.com/painsci]   Reassurance for Massage Therapistst [https://www.painscience.com/articles/reassurance-for-massage-therapists.php] Fibromyalgia Science (not pseudoscience) [https://www.painscience.com/articles/fibromyalgia.php] The Trigger Points Index [https://www.painscience.com/index-trigger-points.php]
