generational gaps and issues: milennials vs. gen z

In this episode, I wanted to talk about a lot of the generational gaps between millennials and Gen Z because I feel like there’s some gaps between the two, but there’s also similarities between the two and I feel like as a Gen Z I can relate to some of the gaps and similarities. This is somewhat of an intense topic, and I feel like nobody talks about these generational issues between specifically those two generations, however, I know we can relate to a lot of things, but of course there are significant differences. Growing up, I had millennial cousins literally all my cousins are millennials so being the youngest and the only Gen Z it puts things into perspective and gets me understanding how it is as a millennial versus how it is as a Gen Z and what are some of the issues that both face today in 2023.

comparisons, feeling pressured & living for yourself

happy new year! as i said it's been a slow time but i am trying to make more episodes and make a return but it's been an immense struggle now starting a new job! in this episode, i wanted to talk about my experiences, with being compared to people, having to be pressured to do well, and basically how i've changed my mindset, and started living for myself. sometimes when you grow up in an environment, where comparisons are a thing, it is hard to not fall into that mindset of oh i need to be like this person or i have to be a certain way. but, because you're not like that person, you're having to feel pressured to do well to make people proud and overtime, it can create a negative mindset in your life, which can essentially drag you down if you're trying to achieve your goals. so you start to realize that its not a life that you want to live and it's not serving you any purpose so you start living for yourself.  Become a member at https://plus.acast.com/s/into-the-night [https://plus.acast.com/s/into-the-night]. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. i've changed

hello friends! i am so behind and i apologize for this. i have been dealing with a lot within myself and have not felt motivated enough to record any episodes, but if you're listening to this episode, it was prerecorded back in december. the next episode from this is also prerecorded. in this episode, i touch light on all the barriers i went through as a child up until my adult years. needless to say i have been through so much, but i can say over the years i have become thick skinned, especially now because i don't take shit from anyone. i used to be the type of person that was innocent, had let so many people walk over me and did not prioritize myself. but now being almost 24, i have decided to make me a priority and prioritize my career, my life and my dreams, i don't plan on letting anyone drag me down. i am lucky enough to have friends, family and a partner who support me through it all! trauma

first off, i want to say thank you to anyone who's listening to my podcast as we finally reached 10 episodes! i cannot thank you enough for all your support and i cannot wait to see what the future holds for this podcast! so for this episode, it's going to take a little bit of a turn because i wanted to kind of get into my traumas. i feel like it's really important to talk about your traumas as it can enable you to get on to your healing journey. so far, i've been healing from these major traumatic events that have happened to me in the past year and a half up until now. i haven't been able to talk about these things because i tend to avoid talking about them and i know that they're just gonna always sit with me until i heal from them. the first traumatic event that i'll be talking about is the death of my grandmother just a little backstory. she and i were very close and i miss her very dearly. the second traumatic thing that i would like to talk about is a very mentally traumatizing car accident that happened to me just this year in May. it had affected my driving and it is still mentally affecting me to this day, these are obviously a lot different than the other traumatizing things that i've gone through a kind of view these as trauma that i still deal with. i hope with this episode you guys are able to see how i deal with these traumas and how bad it's affected me and i hope you guys can support me through this journey of healing.
