I’m focused on having as many of these conversations as possible, not in having the audio quality be perfect. Thus, I’m going with a workflow that is minimal but effective. If this annoys your editor ears, I get it, but you might want to skip listening. Bekah, Jeni and Angry Ducky share the technical, client and collaboration pains that they’ve gone through recently. I’m experimenting with different video to audio workflows this month and think that handling the video first THEN sweetening the audio seems to be the most streamlined and logical. Now his production company, Podcast Engineers, handles 100+ podcasts but when he first started there were some potential clients who wanted to talk him down to a super low rate probably based on of his location. And this brings up an interesting question: How much of our rates should be/can be/are based on where we live? And more so, if that fair?
