REVELATION CHAPTER 2:8-11 “THE CHURCH OF SMYRNA”

In this session Jesus will write a letter to the church “the Body of Christ” in Smyrna. Jesus will emphasize that he is the first and the last, and the living one, the Lord God Almighty. He then speaks of the circumstances pertaining to the Great Tribulation by the anti-Christ that begins at the midpoint of the 70th week of Daniel when the 5th Seal is broken. We will compare Scripture with Scripture to determine the duration of the Great Tribulation, and end the breaking of the 6th seal and the glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ to resurrect the saints all the way from Adam to the midpoint of the 70th week and to rapture the church. He will acknowledge that they are enduring patiently, standing up to those who are evil, testing false apostles, and bearing up for Christ name sake. However, he will let the know that he has one thing against them, they were doing these things in works of the flesh, not in the love of the Spirit of Christ. REVELATION CHAPTER 1:11-20

In this session we will see the Lord Jesus Christ in His glorified state. We’ll find that the Spirit of Christ is the Word of God, the projected Living Revelation of the Godhead to mankind for salvation through Jesus who possesses the fullness of the Godhead in His body, and is now glorified with the glory He had with the Father before the world existed. Christ Jesus is eternal, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. The Lord Jesus Christ paid the penalty of death for the original sin of all of mankind. All we need to do is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to become part of His family, the body of Christ. It is by grace that we’ve been saved through faith. Not by anything we do, it is the gift of God. REVELATION CHAPTER 1:9-10

In this session we will be focusing on an event known as “The Day Of The Lord.” There are 2 aspects to The Day of the Lord; • 1. The Day of the Lord for “Judgment,” and • 2. The Day of the Lord for “Salvation.” Recognizing these 2 aspects is critical to understanding the chronology of a pivotal event of the Revelation.
