Beskrivelse

Welcome back to Procrastiknitting with Elyssa and Lydia! In this episode Elyssa gets a visit from a surprise guest but the show must go on. Lydia went to Brooklyn General Store [https://brooklyngeneral.com/] to buy buttons [https://brooklyngeneral.com/collections/buttons/products/textile-garden-button-metallic-flat-shell?variant=40283435696191]for her Port Jacket [https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/port-jacket]. She also considered buying yarn [https://brooklyngeneral.com/products/rowan-softyak-dk?variant=43003954855999]for the Mantaray [https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mantaray]but wasn't ready to commit. Elyssa has been working on her Sophie Hood [https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sophie-hood] and it is growing slowly but it will be worth it. Lydia and Elyssa debate the merits of the Sophie scarf [https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sophie-scarf-2]; is it beginner friendly? why is it so fiddly? HOW many thousands of these little doodads have been made??? Later, the buds chat about what technique Elyssa would like to learn about next. They discuss the differences between fair isle, stranded colorwork, and intarsia. Elyssa shares some of her favorite resources; Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible [https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/japanese-knitting-stitch-bible-260-exquisite-patterns-by-hitomi-shida_hitomi-shida/13906929/item/31837871/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=us_shopping_zombies_hvs_21811042479&utm_adgroup=&utm_term=&utm_content=717524850233&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21811042479&gbraid=0AAAAADwY45jVmoAOKYE43FSAuVgQNIDSQ&gclid=Cj0KCQjwornRBhCrARIsAON5exGYdb3_y4i4_Pzk5n4PMOOmctOnUJSUW5f90JpHlnBOlfE4lfoazlkaAnsrEALw_wcB#idiq=31837871&edition=14543662], Vogue Knitting: The Ultimate Stitch Dictionary, and The Ultimate All-Around Stitch Dictionary [https://www.woolandcompany.com/products/the-ultimate-all-around-stitch-dictionary-by-wendy-bernard]. She recently tried the Indian Cross [https://newstitchaday.com/how-to-knit-the-indian-cross-stitch/]stitch. Freaky! When is it polite to ask a stranger if they made their sweater? What if you/re sure you recognize the Manos [https://www.woolandcompany.com/collections/manos-del-uruguay-wool-clasica]yarn? (Also, Clasica is discontinued now?! Should we stock up?) Elyssa dreams of a Lopapeysa [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lopapeysa] (perhaps in traditional Lettlopi or Plutolopi). We're excited to participate in the #BirdColonyKAL [https://www.instagram.com/p/DZKZwLMICbk/] hosted by Libby @StarLitKnits_ and @knitforwildlife. We'll share what we make on our Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/procrastiknittingpod/]account. Got a knitting question? Email us at procrastiknittingpod@gmail.com [procrastiknittingpod@gmail.com] and we'll do our best to help (or, at least, commiserate)! See ya next Monday! XO L&E

Elyssa credits her astrologer [https://www.instagram.com/christelle.ambr/]for helping her keep things in perspective. Lydia is still knitting her Port Jacket [https://www.ozettaknitwear.com/patterns/p/port-jacket-knitting-pattern]. She ordered some new yarn [https://www.knitpicks.com/wilhelmina/p/27471]to finish the sleeves.
