According to the Travis County Medical Examiner's report, Gutierrez died from accidental drowning, with toxicology results showing alcohol but no illicit substances in his system. While Austin police found no evidence of foul play, Gutierrez's family raised concerns about unusual behavior before his disappearance, suggesting he may have been drugged and assaulted.
