Releasing The Shoulds
I used to think I had to work till midnight, even if I had no idea what it was I was supposed to be working on, to be successful. I watched my grandparents, hard-working people that they were, work so hard to get us to a place of luxury and then watched my parents carry that into their lives, sometimes working long hours and forgetting about us. As an adult, I find the work-life balance so difficult. Which is why I thought it was a great idea to open up the discussion about hard work = success. Our guest, Carly Jo Bell, is the best person to bring value to this discussion. She is a Big-hearted Business Coach supporting online service providers, coaches, healers, and guides to create Sustainable Success, which she defines as consistent 5-figure cash months doing work you love doing, in the way you love doing it, with the people you genuinely love working with. In this episode, Carly shares openly about: * How she came to have an unhealthy relationship with success, and what she did to navigate that to her advantage as an adult who still very much wants to be successful. * Open conversation about exactly how much money she made in her first year of business, despite working as hard as she did. * Defining what hard work means to her and how she came to understand that hard work does not need to be ‘hard’ but the work does need to be done. We want to change if you work hard you will succeed, to if you do the work and find joy, you will succeed! ‘I felt like such a freaking fraud because literally, all I was doing every day was making maybe 150 bucks a week. I was barely making enough money. I was just working so hard.’ -Carly Jo Bell, Releasing the shoulds podcast, S1E4 Mental health Podcast for millennials Carly’s links: Join her Facebook Group for Big-hearted Entrepreneurs: https://www.facebook.com/groups/wholeco [https://www.facebook.com/groups/wholeco] Check out Marketing Magnified here: https://www.wholecomedia.com/marketing-magnified?fbclid=IwAR2yGRMCtVu195bKAt6yhJrhZmSdyDghGqQsdzbRThDM7dq3VZCq4KrDaFE&affiliate=hannahpillow Keep up to date with Hannah and the podcast: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/releasingtheshouldspodcast/ [https://www.instagram.com/releasingtheshouldspodcast/] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/HannahPillow12 [https://www.facebook.com/HannahPillow12]
