Rig på viden
In this episode of Rig på viden, we are joined by Arna Olafsson, Associate Professor at CBS, to discuss household financial behavior and her research paper What Makes Depositors Tick? Why do many households leave their savings in low-interest bank accounts when higher returns are readily available elsewhere? Using unique data from Iceland, Arna explains how wealth, financial literacy, inflation expectations, and behavioral frictions shape household decisions. We also discuss what these findings mean for monetary policy, banks, and the financial well-being of households.
