Mat talks about his experiences ‘back in the day’ setting up illegal parties with Black Sheep, DJing at the dawn of the rave scene and selling XTC. He started using heroin to come down from his raving weekends which led to an addiction. He found relief in smoking DMT which helped him to connect to people and learn about himself. 😎🥳🤩

Trigger warning as this episode explores complex and raw emotions; anger, grief, loss and forgiveness. Mat shares his experience of losing his father to a driver under the influence and how forgiveness helped him to let go and move on. As a society we have to get better at supporting people who are grieving and those who have lost family members to suicide, criminal acts or inequalities. Sarah shares experiences of being wrongly diagnosed and Mat refused mental health support because he was self medicating with a substance.
