Get to know Savvy Scholar Angie Chandler. Angie is a cultural arts strategist from Brooklyn, New York. In Brooklyn, she received both her love of the arts and her B.A. in Education and History from Brooklyn College. Angie’s time as an educator continues to fuel her passion for arts education, advocacy, and equity. As a 1st generation American, her Caribbean and AfroLatinx heritage inspire a focus on global perspectives. As an arts administrator and consultant, she’s focused on increasing community engagement, curating innovative public programming, and introducing new voices and opportunities to institutions. Angie takes great joy in creating opportunities for artists and communities to engage in impactful experiences. Her work has included working with museums, arts organizations, and as an independent consultant. Angie currently spends her time supporting artists and organizations in Southern California.
