He is also deeply devoted to interfaith dialogue and engagement, and has been involved in numerous multi-faith events across the country and in Europe. Rabbi Joe Charnes is married to his beautiful wife, Sarah Schechter, a Rabbi and Air Force Chaplain, recently retired.
