Embracing the Cozy Reads: A Journey Through Books and Life

Welcome to Sippin' Tips! Today, I want to share my recent reading adventures and some personal reflections. If you’re a book lover like me, you’ll find joy in the cozy reads I’ve been diving into lately. Cozy Reads Books can transport you to different worlds, and recently, I’ve found a delightful read called “All the Pretty Places” by Joy Calloway. It’s a charming story set in the Gilded Age that wraps you in a warm embrace, making it the perfect spring read. The narrative revolves around Sadie, who aims to take over her family's nursery business while facing societal expectations that challenge her dreams. She struggles against the societal norms of her time, especially for women aspiring to break barriers. The setting is set in the Gilded Age. I love this time period with all the pretty outfits and romantic undertones, and comfort read. The Last Letter Next on my reading list is The Last Letter by Rebecca Yaros. I must warn you, if you’re not in the mood to cry, you might want to skip this one! Shatter Me I’m also currently reading Shatter Me, and finding it intriguing. The book dives into the mind of the protagonist. And she believes her touch is deadly. My theory is that her fears might be a result of psychological manipulation rather than a physical curse. (I am on chapter 5.) Among the Stars and Shadows My latest fantasy read is Among the Stars and Shadows by Diane Farrugia. The story follows Kayla. She finds herself in a magical world. Her quest to return home is complicated by her attraction to a prince, adding a delightful twist to the narrative. I love reading Fantasy books like this one because it allows me to escape reality for a few hours. Thank you for listening in on Sip & Tips!!
