7: Life Lessons at Twenty-Eight

After a much needed break from the internet, I'm back! Yesterday was my twenty-eighth birthday and it feels good to say that I made it out of one of the toughest years of my life. I have self-reflected a lot this month, and I wanted to share some of the helpful life lessons I have learned this far, that I seriously wish I would have known sooner. Experience is everything and life truly does get better.

6: Fighting Depression

Hey guys! Episode six is all about how I've been fighting back against the resistance during my depression. Things I used to do to feel better weren't working, and I realized that what I was facing was bigger than just feeling off or sad. Today I talk about how I've adjusted my daily routine to start to have more better days than bad days. What may seem easy to most people, seems impossible to those who are suffering with depression or burnout. Small, consistent changes start to add up and everything begins to change. This is not a redemption story, but simply progress.

5: High Credit Card Balance and Unlimited Wants

Hey guys! This episode I am talking about something a little taboo, something a little on the hush hush, and that is having a high credit card balance. In the world of consumerism, it’s easy to fall down the rabbit hole and end up in debt that is over your head. It can feel addicting, discouraging, and downright shameful. As someone who worked as a banker, I am here to tell you that there is no shame behind this. I saw many entrepreneurs, high income households, and regular people with high credit card balances that were just floating over their heads. Let’s talk about it.

4: Self Reflection, Solitude, and Saving Yourself

For the past few months, I have been in a serious state of self reflection. In the midst of an essential crisis, I am coming to terms with some life changing truths. I’m also finding that the deeper I dig in my self reflective stage, the more lonely I feel. I find that I get the most clarity through solitude. I am learning to embrace it and come out on the other side.

3: "It's Not You, It's Me"

There is nothing better or worse than realizing you may be the source of your own self destruction. No, but really, as I learn and grow, I find it much easier to hold myself accountable. I am entering my "Woman Up" era where I ask myself hard questions and dig deep in order to work towards a better future.
