The first years of Dr. Ia Kues life was surrounded by war and poverty in Laos. With the leadership of her father, he took the family, by foot, out of Laos to a refugee camp in Thailand. From there the family got the call to immigrate to the United States of America, where she found out about and pursued the American Dream.
