I was fortunate to have a virtual cuppa' with Freelance Director, Dwayne Veritas Logan. Dwayne wrote Black Thoughts [https://www.blackthoughtsfilm.com/] which hit a nerve with me and drove me to learn more. There’s a beautiful reserved calm about Dwayne, which I find extraordinary. Extraordinary in the sense of wondering how I would act if I was experiencing the same issues. Dwayne’s heart coupled with his ability to be open minded and listen is so refreshing. We have a responsibility to change and remove racism from our lives. As Dwayne mentions, we all have to play a part in this fight. Black people cannot undo racism alone. As white people that I refer to as privileged because of skin color, we need to act in unison to drive change.
