Beskrivelse

It's the That Real Blind Tech show 200th Episode spectacular, so for this huge achievement, we got the entire gang of Allison, Brian, David, Ed, and Jeanine together to talk about little tech news, and do more reflecting about the past 199 episodes. We kick the celebration off with some pre-celebration music which then leads in to the amazing creation from M.C. Goldstein. It is sure to quickly run up the Billboard charts to number 1 if the billboard charts still exist in 2026. We know Casey Kasem would have been a huge fan. Did we actually ever land on the Moon? We discuss the Artemis launch from this past week, and Brian's conspiracy theory about it. The NYC MTA has found yet another way to screw with accessibility [https://nypost.com/2026/02/25/us-news/mta-to-blast-75-decibel-ads-in-subways-as-critics-blast-fahrenheit-451-style-spin/?utm_campaign=iphone_nyp&utm_source=mail_app] with public transportation. You can finally change your gmail user name, but there is a catch, this feature is only available to those in the United States. While some of us are rooting for facial recognition to come to the masses, a woman in Tennessee is definitely not one of them as police used facial recognition to arrest her and send her back to a state she claims she has never stepped foot in [https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/police-used-ai-facial-recognition-100054218.html?guccounter=1]. A recent study finds that LLM's will protect each other [https://gizmodo.com/llms-will-protect-each-other-if-threatened-study-finds-2000741634] over following prompts to delete one another. Oh shit, that can't be good. Sixty civil society organizations claim everyone on the planet will be harmed [https://gizmodo.com/calls-to-regulate-smart-glasses-are-officially-deafening-2000741499] by facial recognition. Yeah, how many people with disabilities were asked about this? We then kick off a look back down memory lane and the past 6 years and 200 episodes of That Real Blind Tech show. There's the Blind Feud, favorite moments, technology and accessibility fails, and of course the regular That Real Blind Tech Show humor. We kick the look back off with what else, but the history of how That Real Blind Tech show came to be. Next it's a special That Real Blind Tech show centric Blind Feud, followed by a bunch of questions about technology and changes over the past 200 episodes. And it's more of Watcha Streaming, Watcha Reading and of course the full entire Fahrvergnugen hit song. And a special homage ending. episode Episode 203 - GPT Smackdown Demo for Mac Usability cover

Episode 203 - GPT Smackdown Demo for Mac Usability

It's an all new That Real Blind Tech show long awaited new demo, as Brian woke up early and decided to do something about his frustration with the state of navigation and usability of ChatGPT on the Mac with VoiceOver. Welcome to the first ever GPT smack off! Brian will run you through ChatGPT, ChatGPT Desktop, Google Gemini, Gemini Desktop for Mac, and Claude and compare all of them for ease of use, navigation, and usability with VoiceOver on the Mac. So grab a beverage, kick back and enjoy. Brian starts off walking you through the current navigation issues in both the web based and desktop ChatGPT apps. They end up getting a D minus for his usability score. Next up is Gemini web based and desktop apps. Brian gives web based Gemini an A for its ease of navigation and great heading structure. It blows the doors off the current state of navigation on ChatGPT. Remember this demo was done on the Mac in Safari, you may experience different behavior in chrome on the Mac, and of course on the PC. Brian ends up giving the Mac Gemini Desktop app a C, so if you are going to use Gemini on the Mac stick to the browser version, it is a much smoother navigation experience. Brian is using Claude for the first time and like web based Gemini, he gives web based Claude an A as well, so se la vie to ChatGPT and their continuing downward spiral with screen reader usability. Episode 202 - Mother Tucker it's A Sloppy Enis

It's an all new That Real Blind Tech Show as Allison, Brian, David, and Jeanine are back together again to discuss all the latest tech news with of course some other nonsense. A few episodes ago Ed educated us all that it is no longer a crime to urinate in public [https://nypost.com/2026/04/22/lifestyle/public-urination-in-nyc-is-up-50-in-just-one-year-report/?utm_campaign=iphone_nyp&utm_source=mail_app] in New York City. Who knew Ed actually knew what he was talking about! According to a recent Web Aim report, the web's accessibility [https://webaim.org/blog/tolerating-inaccessibility/] has gotten worse over the past year. In other bad accessibility news, the government has extended the deadline for state and local websites [https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/04/20/2026-07663/extension-of-compliance-dates-for-nondiscrimination-on-the-basis-of-disability-accessibility-of-web] to be accessible to everyone for another year until April 2027. And in our new segment, It Could Only Happen in Florida, the Florida Attorney General is looking in to going after ChatGPT [https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/04/20/2026-07663/extension-of-compliance-dates-for-nondiscrimination-on-the-basis-of-disability-accessibility-of-web] for its assistance with murders! Why no mention of security? Why is it always privacy, privacy, privacy? Just when we thought Claude was the responsible A.I., it goes and deletes a companies [https://tech.yahoo.com/ai/article/this-claude-powered-ai-agent-deleted-a-companys-whole-database--and-then-gloated-about-it-165838948.html] entire database. Whoops. We then dive in to discussing OpenClaw [https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/my-adventures-setting-up-openclaw-agent.html], is it the most useful piece of software ever created as some claim, or a disaster waiting to happen? We then get a review of the Rocked Glasses [https://www.geeky-gadgets.com/rokid-ai-glasses-vs-ray-ban-meta/#google_vignette] and compare them against the Meta Glasses. You may have heard by now that Tim Cook is stepping down as Apple's CEO, we discuss what his legacy will be [https://www.wired.com/story/apple-tim-cook-subscription-business/]. We then discuss the five best products [https://www.cultofmac.com/news/tim-cook-best-apple-products] launched during the Tim Cook era. A recent rumor claims that iOS 27 will make our Air Pods a lot more powerful [https://9to5mac.com/2026/04/28/ios-27-could-make-your-airpods-a-lot-more-powerful-heres-why/]. Yeah, but do you believe a single thing coming out of apple anymore? As we continue on the Apple rumor front, is the Vision Pro [https://www.cultofmac.com/news/vision-pro-cancelled-rumor] already Sleeping with the fishes? And yet another Apple rumor has Apple potentially ditching MagSafe [https://9to5mac.com/2026/04/29/apple-might-ditch-magsafe-on-future-iphones-per-bizarre-rumor/]. And it's more of What's Pissing Off Brian Now and Watcha Streaming, Watcha Reading. It's an all new That Real Blind Tech Show as Allison, Brian, David, and Jeanine get together to discuss the latest tech news. We start the show off answering the age old debate, what would win, an Uber Eats robot [https://people.com/uber-eats-delivery-robot-is-destroyed-after-getting-stuck-on-train-tracks-in-miami-11887191] or a train? The days of stopping at rest stops on a long road trip could be over thanks to a Chinese car company [https://autos.yahoo.com/ev-and-future-tech/articles/chinese-carmaker-patents-voice-controlled-063602523.html] and their new patent. Is there any saving the disaster that Windows 11 [https://gizmodo.com/theres-no-saving-windows-11-its-time-for-windows-12-2000746855] is? If you have not been paying attention, you may have missed that the cost of everything is going up. Brian then goes off on a rant that he is not from New Jersey despite what another blind tech show claims. Netflix is raising their prices [https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/netflix-raising-prices-second-time-in-a-year-1236700999/] for the second time in less than two years. Add YouTube Premium [https://gizmodo.com/youtube-premium-jacks-up-prices-for-the-first-time-in-years-2000745008] as another service raising its prices. And the price raising is not limited to streaming services, as Microsoft has raised prices on all their Surface Books [https://www.macrumors.com/2026/04/14/microsoft-surface-pc-price-hike/]. And if you can't beat them you might as well join them, so Samsung announced it is raising prices [https://www.macrumors.com/2026/04/14/samsung-us-price-increase/] of its devices in the U.S. And it is more of What's Pissing Off Brian Now and Watcha Streaming, Watcha Reading. Episode 199 - Putting the Fun in CSUN!

It's an all new That Real Blind Tech Show as Allison, Brian, David, and Jeanine tried to get together to record as usual on Zoom, but what a shit show of accessibility Zoom has become. We thought we would never be able to record again, and right before our 200th episode since we changed from That Blind Tech Show to That Real Blind Tech show. Brian then goes in to his psychic abilities as if you listened to our last episode he was ready for a meteor to hit the Earth [https://www.google.com/search?q=Meteor+hits+Cleveland&client=safari&hs=7zXp&sca_esv=880bc3402c9aa32e&rls=en&tbm=nws&sxsrf=ANbL-n5n9BEBJ-Y5_BRlQKh8Pc7b6G1wpA:1773891057591&story=GjMSMU5BU0EgY29uZmlybXMgbWV0ZW9yIGNhdXNlZCBsb3VkIGJvb20gYWNyb3NzIE9oaW8yMQon3Jq555Xr6ZyNAbKCkMT7kpvJNoyGheCavcm01wHShqjczoO1iYUBEPro1NkQGAVyAhAB&fcs=ABHuY3Sn4IEhB-p4O39coWaKWychqwP2RA&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjioe6Sg6uTAxUOL1kFHUHwMKgQjcEJegQIHhAD], and one actually did! We then bring up the sad news about the possible demise of Innosearch.AI. Breaking news, there are still some good people on this place we call Earth, as a 78 year old man [https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/articles/strangers-help-78-old-doordash-161202405.html] was working as a Door Dash Driver, and a bunch of people got together, put up a Go fund Me, and the dude is now rich. Google is rolling out free personalized intelligence [https://www.macrumors.com/2026/03/17/gemini-personal-intelligence/] to all of its United States Gemini users. Apple announced the upcoming release of the Air Pod Max 2 [https://www.macworld.com/article/3090283/airpods-max-vs-airpods-max-2-lightning-usb-c-specs-features-differences.html], but does anyone really care? And in our second segment of does anyone care? Amazon is rumored to be working on designing an Alexa powered phone [https://www.theverge.com/tech/897915/amazon-transformer-alexa-phone]. We then discuss That Real Blind Tech show going to Taiwan. Brian then dives in to his full recap of this year's CSUN AT Conference. He starts off discussing his and Dr. Bryan Wolynski's presentation at this year's Conference, Artificial Intelligence, In and On Your Face. Brian then discusses all the networking he got done at this year's conference and some of the people he hung out with. He then discusses some of the companies that had a big presence at this year's Conference. We then discuss the big announcement coming out of CSUN, all the disability focused apps coming to the Meta Frames, and soon.
