Clint Yoder and Cory McClendon from Yoder’s Talk

Pastor Andy Heis

In this episode pastor Andy talks about his journey from hating going to church as a kid to becoming the pastor of one of the biggest churches in Cullman. As a young man he made the decision to start living for Christ and never turned back from this choice. Living in obedience, he saw his life fall into place. Andy listened to his calling to start a church here in Cullman, where all people are welcome. He says he loves when people come to church for the wrong reasons, but stay for the right one. Andy knows first hand what it’s like to fall victim to legalistic religion, he helps to set people free from this through the love of Jesus. John Williams

In this episode John talks about his journey of living the American dream. He went from being raised by a single mom not having much, to being a successful business owner. John and his wife are high school sweethearts and are an incredible force for good in the community. John talks about the way he raised his sons to stand out, and to always aim up. John explains his passion for fitness and the connection of physical fitness to spiritual fitness. Him and his wife also started a poultry farm, which is hard and humbling work. John is a great example of a Godly person. He is a mentor to many young men, something he feels is important as he knows what it’s like to grow up without a father. I know this episode will leave you inspired to chase your dreams while building up those around you. John and his wife own the gym “live fit” In Jones Chapel. They also are the owners of Mustardseed EarthworX and First Fruit Farms.

Cheryl Potter

In this episode you will get to know the lovely Cheryl Potter. She shares the heart wrenching story about the adoption of her two girls. She explains how God had perfectly orchestrated their new family structure. Cheryl’s passion and love for children didn’t stop there. Her and her husband are doing amazing work for children in Uganda and the Philippines. They bring a light and a hope to the darkness these children are living in. I wonder what our world would look like if we could all be more like Cheryl and Kip. The Leonardi Boys

In this episode I’m speaking with Samuel, Michael and James. Mandy and Joseph Leonardi raised their boys to be the most polite kids, always ready to lend a hand. The interview was conducted in between the riding of electric scooters and what seemed to be a live remake of wrestle mania. The main thing that seemed important to each of them was to help others, and pray for those that are sick, and also to pray for their dog. It was a different interview for sure, as I found that children do not elaborate on questions haha! It’s a lighthearted episode, just something a little different for you to listen to this week.
