Lessons of a Faithful Life (04.12.2026)

In 1 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul writes to a group of believers trying to  navigate a new way of living after experiencing God’s grace. They came from very different backgrounds, yet shared the same struggle: how to live faithfully in a world that pulls them in other directions.   That tension is still real today. Faithfulness isn’t just a one-time decision—it’s a daily choice to trust and follow God. The good news is that while we are called to choose, God also provides help every step of the way.

It's Worth It For The One

Paul’s life was driven by one clear goal: bringing glory to God by helping people come to know Jesus. In 1 Corinthians 9, Paul explains how he was willing to adjust his preferences, build common ground with people, and live with intentional discipline so that others could hear the gospel and live a life that glorifies God. This passage challenges us to consider how our own lives reflect that same mission. If people matter to God, then the way we live, love, and interact with others matters too. Take some time to discuss/contemplate three key lessons from Paul about why pursuing God’s glory and people’s salvation is “worth it for the one.”

The Mind of Christ - A New Way of Living

Have you experienced the frustration of wanting something to happen but feeling like it was out of your control and not knowing what to do? The battle of this tension is often fought from an understanding and trust in God’s sovereignty. This is a new way of thinking for most people. According to 1 Corinthians 2:16, believers are given the “mind of Christ.” That means following Jesus doesn’t just change our behavior — it changes how we see everything: people, purpose, control, expectations, and even our role in others’ spiritual growth. The message challenged us to understand: • What we can do. • What we can’t do. • And how to trust God with what only He can do.

Baptism (1.18.2025)

This week we talked about baptism—what it is, why it matters, and why it’s such an important step for followers of Jesus. In Acts 2, we see that when  people believed the Gospel, they didn’t wait years to respond—they believed and were baptized as a public and obedient step of devotion to God. Baptism doesn’t save us, but it shows something has already happened inside of us. It is an outward expression of an inward transformation—a way  of saying, “My life belongs to Jesus now.”

A Deeper Connection (1.11.2025)

A new beginning can be so exciting. The thrill and adventure that come along with them. But the adventure of something new also needs an understanding and a plan for what comes next. When we trust in Jesus, we begin a new life— but a new life requires new priorities. In Acts 2, the first believers didn’t just believe differently; they lived differently. They chose devotions that helped them stay deeply connected to God. When we begin a new life with Jesus,  EVERYTHING changes. So how do we embrace new devotions to deepen our connection with a personal God?
