The Drama Triangle

In this short episode I offer a quick overview of the Drama Triangle, a concept that helps explain some of the frustrating patterns we may face in our relationships. If you're on the drama triangle, you're playing one of three roles: victim, rescuer or persecutor (and you can be shifting between all 3!!). The goal in life is to stay OFF the drama triangle. Hopefully this little visual will help you identify those situations where drama is at play and then you can make conscience decisions to step off the triangle and move forward in peace.

In this episode we talk about how a teacher came to rely on her former student to rescue her from pain and show her the path to wellness. Almost 10 years after Danielle and Ramez met at UMass-Lowell (she was his professor), Danielle turned to Ramez in desperation to avoid surgery on a diagnosed torn shoulder labrum. Not only did Ramez keep Danielle out of the surgical suite, he opened her eyes and mind to a whole other world of movement science and philosophy.
