This episode of The Chocolate Life is discussing how the media paints the narrative of how black people are as people. The media is also responsible for the messenging about what we say and do or even if the stereotypes are made up. The manipulation comes from making people believe these made up stereotypes and pushed out via all means of media whether it be TV, radio, internet, and print. What Are You Getting For Your Vote?

As a community in the U.S. and in the diaspora; what are you getting for your vote? Are politicians making good on their political campaign promises to us as a community? If you are not getting anything for your vote, then why are you voting? Where are the laws to protect me as a black man, but there is an Asian Hate Law to protect the Asians and they did not build this country or go through the things that black people have in this country. The politicians do more for corporate America than they do for the American people. What are you getting for your vote...laws, money for the community, programs, etc.

The Origin of Political Anti-Blackness

The origins of political anti-blackness began from the 1613 play The Triumph of Truth by Thomas Middleton. It was in this play that brought about the beginning of this thing called race. Middleton used the word "White" for the 1st time as the ruling class. Later on in the 1600s there were laws created against black people like the 1639 No Armed Negro Law, 1640 John Punch Decision, and the 1670 Negro Slave Child Law which escalated into the slave codes, Jim Crow, Segregation, and Blue Lives Matter.

The Manchurian Candidate

This episode is making the connections between the present election and the 1962 film The Manchurian Candidate. Dwight D. Eisnehower in his last address stated that there was a military industrial complex and how the average politician is not going to be for the people. He was basically talking about later generations of politicians being bought and paid for by corporations. Is Kamala Harris the next Manchurian Candidate or were Donald Trump and Joe Biden Manchurian Candidates?

Propaganda, Pulpit Pimps, and Political Prostitutes

This episode is talking about how the U.S. amongst most western countries has used propaganda from the media to push political ideology via the pulpit to keep people under the control under the guise of religion and always being backed up by pastors and clergy letting politicians come into our worship spaces to pander /coerce us for our votes
