Cathie Chew is the founder of BEYOND WOW Services Pte Ltd. After more than 2 decades of impacting lives through the miracle of paper and ink, she left her only career with Prudential Assurance Singapore. Cathie became an accidental writer when she emerged as the Winner of a competition in TODAY sponsored by SingTel in 2009. She picked up writing again in 2016 when she suddenly became her husband’s primary caregiver due to the raw fish saga 2015. Several articles have been published in TODAY and LianHe Zaobao. She also won for herself 2nd Prize during the V-Day Love Story 2017 by STOMP. Cathie, a charity advocate for more than 2 decades, has an “enlarged” heart for the least, the lost and the last. She is relentlessly passionate about building strong marriages and bringing up emotionally healthy children. Cathie is married to her RAW to REAL Man, Sim Tharn Chun for 29 years. The couple have 3 adult children - Charis, Micah and Charity. In this episode meet Mr. Raymond Anthony Fernando, an author, poet, multi-award mental wellness advocate, and someone who for 40 years loved and lived with his (late) wife, Doris, who suffered from Schizophrenia. Listen as he shares his experience caring for a loved one suffering from this condition. He shares his own encounter with depression and attempted suicide. A recipient of numerous awards, this 74 year old, still has a zest for life; he is a fighter and an advocate for Resilience, Mental Health and Wellbeing and for a kinder, more patient society.
