Four MAIS baseball teams across Southwest Mississippi competed for a state championship last week. Only one went all the way — the ASC Rebels were state champs in 4AD2 after taking a rubber match with Leake Aca. On this week's Corner Blitz, we catch up with the champs. Four from Brookhaven High School — Crews and Annie Stewart, (5A Mixed Doubles); and Addy Foster and Jenna Townsend (5A Girls Doubles). Two from Loyd Star — Cooper Creel and Brody Thinadeaux (Class 1 Boys Doubles). Two from Brookhaven Academy — Camille Calcote and Kyndra Quinn (4A D2 Girls Doubles). And one from Parklane Academy — Anistyn Henderson (4A D2 Girls Singles).
