episode Episode #3 - The Windy City, Social Impact, & Alphabet Soup cover

Beskrivelse

Mabel Shiu, social entrepreneur and Chicago Booth graduate, discusses her journey discovering how to use sustainable business models to develop local communities.  Having completed her B.S. in Business, Finance, and International Management at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, Mabel was eager to identify a track that would allow her to pursue a business career while also focusing on social impact. The opportunity to explore leadership via social impact came through hands-on opportunities Mabel accessed through both b-school and her background as a  lean six sigma black belt. Along the way, Mabel learned how to maximize the b-school experience and trust her intuition: and she also found that standard application practices aren't always the way to go!
