He later realized cheap drones and DJI drones are totally different (ep.10 w/@destination_unknown_dj)

Dennard Jackson lost interest in drones after he flew a cheap toy drone back in 2016, but later realized that “real drones” are totally different. Inspired by the point of view a drone is capable of capturing, Dennard of Destination Unknown Travels got the Mavic Air 1. His first flight was also his first crash while he was traveling in Ireland, but it wasn’t his scariest flight. His crash in the woods required sending his drone to get fixed. There is no easier way to get an establishing shot than using a drone. Meet Jacob Sigala [https://www.jacobsmedium.com/], a photographer, filmmaker and creative director. His first drone was the Mavic 1 Pro in 2016 and his first flight happened while he was traveling in Iceland. Amazing right? Not really if you’re trying to figure out how to operate the drone AND you’ve got windy conditions. He was not prepared, his drone did NOT fly the way he expected it to, but I applaud him because he did it anyway (and kept trying!!) even in windy and challenging situations.
