What is the GenXY Podcast all about?

You're 30+ years old  You're tired of working long hours for someone else!  You know there must be another way but it's a minefield I was there too and in 2014 I decided enough was enough! I left a good, safe job and started my own company.  But it wasn't all up from there! In fact it was the opposite. For the best part of 12 months I found myself making mistake after mistake which cost me both financially as well as emotionally.  However, fast forward to now and I have a successful Real Estate Investment Education business, a life I love with an amazing family and the freedom to do things I want (when I want).  Is it still hard work? - Absolutely!  But I'm loving life and that's what I believe the journey should be all about!  Now, 6 years on, I want to share what I have learned with other guys who find themselves now, where I was 6 years ago. Ready to make a change but not really knowing what that change is going to be.  But this isn't just another entrepreneurship podcast!!  I want this to be a looking glass into the real life behind the business.  The challenges you will face balancing family life with your new business. From startup to established business, this balance is something you always need to ensure is maintained or life will become very difficult which will inevitably impact your ability to focus!  Don't worry though, it's not just going to be me talking all the time!!  I want to interview guests who are at varying stages of their journeys to hopefully inspire you to take that big step and build a life you choose to live!  Thanks for listening and I'm looking forward to sharing my journey with you and hopefully hearing about your journey too - good & bad!
