episode What's Behind New Mexican Cuisine: With the Santa Fe School of Cooking cover

Beskrivelse

On a recent trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico (we go annually since it's a doable drive from Denver), I got to sit down with Nicole Curtis Ammerman, the Director of Operations for the Santa Fe School of Cooking. Nicole talks about the beginnings of the School, founded by her mother, Susan Curtis, how the School has developed over the years (including their offerings) and more. We also learn what makes Santa Fe's (and the Southwest as a whole) cuisine what it is. What's iconic? What's truly authentic? What are some of the dishes you simply must have when you visit? Nicole was also gracious enough to share a recipe with us straight from the School, for Carne Adovada. Learn more, see a photo of Nicole and scenes from classes on our site, InGoodTasteDenver.com.

Head Up to the Telluride Reserve

At more than 9,000 feet above sea level, the July 30-August 1, 2026 Telluride Reserve hits the heights with a food and wine festival that facilitates real connection between attendees, chefs and winemakers (and the fantastic food and drink they provide). In this episode of the In Good Taste Denver Podcast, you'll meet the founder and organizer of the event, Nicole Garman, who tells us how the Telluride Reserve came to be, what it's like to attend, and she provides some tips for making the most of it. We also share that, if you use our code InGoodTaste2026 at checkout, you'll receive 10% off all tickets, whether you're coming for one event or several. Visit us on InGoodTasteDenver.com to see Nicole and photos from prior events plus the link to the website and Telluride Reserve's social media.
