The Independent artist spotlight and show
Hello gang, Welcome to the program, I'm Jared. Today, we'll play a mix of artists including some new just released material by the Haas sisters, back work from Robert Rich and Scott Lawlor that was mentioned in prior programs, a just released track in almost 2 years for Rachel Flowers and more. We may celebrate a launch party too for my recent project as part of the Metro project I'm doing. Hope you enjoy the program! Links to albums can be found through my bandcamp page which will be given on air. Set 1: Protocol was released on June 19th, 2026. This is going to maybe make some people angry, some people happy, and some people ... well, you be the judge. The bandcamp page which is voiced on air will discuss the track more in detail and give you the lyrics of the track. We also play a bit from some of her other releases. The first track I did not hear, but its as good as the other album we recently got and played. Charles Sepanic released his album through Heart Dance on June 19th, and we play several from it. Mark Round is described as painting with music. The only album found on the page we have is a 1998 album titled Painting Twighlight. All of this is coming up on this next set. I never moved it over. Brothers of the Drone, Sisters of the Drone is a 2024 release but I don't remember where we got it from. This is a 94 minute set with Steve playing 3 of the 9 physical tracks instead of revisiting the two tracks I played previously. I forgot we played this some weeks ago. Brothers of the Drone, Sisters of the Drone Drone Day 2024 40:39 Steve Roach Spirals of Yearning 36:10 Steve Roach Prometheus Returns - The Continent 08:50 Steve Roach Structures From Silence 08:55 Set 4: Newband was found through microtonal work when we found it through a newsletter. We play 3 from the 6 track album and this may be more classical sounding than other microtonal work we've featured, and we've not played this in awhile. Newband Partch, 'Two Studies On Ancient Greek Scales' 03:42 Newband Cage, 'Haikai For Flute And Zoomoozophone' 07:21 Newband Drummond, 'Incredible Time (to live and die)' 13:01 This will complete the show. We'll be back next time with more tunes. Thanks for listening!
